How to go Around the World like Jules Verne (in 80 mins)
Around the world in 80 minutes (well, maybe a bit longer but you get the idea). We are paraphrasing Jules Verne here, but you really can travel the world in Vegas, taking in some of the famous tourists attractions. No longer do you need to pack your life up, remortgage your house and disappear for weeks to see the most iconic places in the world. Las Vegas is thoughtfully offering them all for you under one desert sky! Our onlyvegas247 guide to international travel, all without cashing in any of your chips for another flight! Ok some of these are cheating as they were created well after Verne first wrote the book, but these are all great Las Vegas sights in their own right so we wanted to include them!
The Luxor – not only can you take in the majestic sight of the Pyramids and the Sphinx, but you can actually stay in one the luxury rooms lining the interior walls of the pyramid. (They don’t offer that in Egypt). We do like a fact at onlyvegas247 and this is a good one – the Luxor sky beam is the strongest beam of light in the world and can be visible up to 275 miles away (such as cruising aircraft around Los Angeles). The Venetian – take a gondola ride through the canals of Venice, take a stroll on the Rialto bridge, wander round St Mark’s square and pop into the local shops along the way, in a Venice where the sky is always blue and the birds are chirping (and probably smells better in the height of summer). France and the UK
Paris Las Vegas – the facades of the Paris opera house and the Louvre welcome you as you arrive at the hotel, and you will also be greeted by a 164m Eiffel Tower ( that is half the size of the real deal if you were wondering), a two thirds size Arc de Triomphe and a replica of La Fontaine De Mars. You can purchase tickets for the Eiffel tower experience at the Eiffel tower gift shop. It is open all day, but the nights are more popular, and a more romantic setting if you are looking for one. Should that still not be enough for you, and you want to go the whole hog, wedding packages are also available. From the UK and feeling homesick? Gordon Ramsey is also waiting for you in the hotel, with his acclaimed steak house where you can dine under a giant Union Jack and grab yourself a Shepherd’s pie. Book your stay at Paris here

New York New York – The Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building and the Chrysler building are all waiting for you at New York, New York. The facade is based on New York in the 1940’s – and such is the attention to detail on Lady liberty, that the US Postal Service accidentally put its image on the US forever Statue of Liberty stamp! Don’t miss walking on the replica Brooklyn Bridge, or riding the rollercoaster either.

One more hint – if you fancy seeing a real piece of the Berlin Wall, head to the casino floor at Main Street Station where it is on ‘display’ in the Men’s urinals. Ladies can be escorted to take a look, ask your bathroom attendant….

So you can travel the world just as in Jules Verne’s book, all during your stay in Las Vegas. We will be adding to this list as more stop offs come up, we are hoping for something definitively Chinese at Lucky Dragon.
