Wynn and Encore Hotel and Casino Resort
The Wynn and Encore are the go to destinations for visitors in search of the ultimate in opulent accommodation in Vegas – they have won a huge number of prestigious awards, including 6 for it’s restaurants from the Forbes guide, as well as a coveted Michelin Star. Of course at onlyvegas247 we offer a best price guarantee – Check rates – if you want to experience this luxury for yourself.
Note – The Encore is also owned by the same owner, Steve Wynn, very similar in terms of design, and is on the same plot. Therefore for this reason we are referring to both hotels throughout this article, except where specifically mentioned.
You can’t fail to feel special in any of the 2,716 rooms and suites at the Wynn.
The standard Resort Rooms are all 640 square foot and have the custom designed Wynn Dream King or two double beds, dressed with sumptuous over stuffed pillows ready and waiting for you for sink into after a hard day’s ‘Vegasing’ (this is a new verb we are trialling…). Resort rooms also offer a 42 inch LCD HDTV, bedside curtain, lighting controls and docking station. Views of the Wynn golf course (the only one on the suite) or the strip are available, as are deluxe or corner panoramic rooms.
The Tower Suites
If you are in search of an even more VIP experience, the Tower suites (which have been awarded the Forbes Travel Guide 5 star award 9 years in a row) offer floor to ceiling windows with views of the strip or the Wynn golf course, and access to the Tower pool. You will also enjoy an exclusive Tower suites entrance, complimentary breakfast, access to the fitness centre, clothes pressing and a twice daily housekeeper service.
If that still isn’t quite exclusive enough for you, turn your attention to the Parlour or Salon Suites;
Parlour Suite – 1280 square feet of luxury, with a dedicated concierge, 52 inch flat panel tv in the living area, 42 inch HDTV in the bedroom AND a 13 inch TV in the bathroom. There is a welcoming ‘wet bar’ in the foyer (a nicely stocked bar to you and I) and a walk in closet.
Salon Suite – 1,817 feet – has that all important private massage room as you walk in as well as amazing floor to ceiling views of Vegas, multiple flat screen TV’s, a dining alcove and marble bar. This suite is accessed by a private VIP entrance.
The Fairway Villa
If you are after even more privacy and exclusivity, the Wynn offers the Fairway Villa. This is described as being available in either one or two bedroom configurations – however this may be a little misleading as those options are either 2411 or 3244 square foot, both of which are enormous and the height of luxury. Whichever one you plump for, your accommodation will be accessed via your own private drive way, where you will be greeted with exclusive registration lobby and your own personal butler.
The Wynn caters for all tastes;
Fine Dining is offered with Steak, seafood, Asian or you can enjoy cafe style food, small plates or a buffet – all restaurants offer vegetarian options but not content with than the Wynn also houses one of the only Vegan restaurants on the strip.
Intrigue Nightclub is due to open on the 28th April this year, but you could sashay over to Encore if you are there before April and check out Wynn’s sister hotel’s club XS nightlife offerings – and the award winning Encore beach club. XS was one of the original modern Las Vegas nightclubs, offering European style music, world famous DJ’s, and eye watering prices. Lines for entrance aren;t as long as they used to be, but particularly if you are in a group with more men than women, expect a long wait to get in. The view of the waterfall makes it worthwhile however.
There are two main pools at the Wynn, with immaculate landscaped gardens and wonderful pool attendants who feed you frozen grapes and check your hydration levels. You can also reserve a private cabana – providing you with such pool side essentials as a mini fridge, plasma tv and a luxurious seating area. The Wynn also offers a ‘European pool’ which is a secluded adult only area where crazy Brits and their European neighbours can go topless if we they choose…
Interesting fact, the Wynn was the first spa in Vegas to receive the Forbes 5 star award, and have no fear that they continue to meet these demanding standards.
Parasol Up and its sister bar Parasol Down are a sight to behold. To access them ride the spiralling escalator through the parasols in the sky to get from one to the other. Parasol Down also offers the backdrop of a 40 foot waterfall rushing down the strip’s only man made mountain, accompanied by music and a holographic show which runs half hourly.
Location – 3131 S. Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Check In – 3pm, Check Out – noon
Car Park – there is an impressive four storey parking garage – impressive as it is so large, not because we get particularly excited about car parks….
Resort Fee – all rooms bar the Tower, Parlour and Salon suites come with a $29 per room per night resort fee – this provides guests with access to the fitness centre, unlimited domestic long distance and toll free phone calls, in room internet access and printing of boarding passes. Resort fee’s are a fact of life on the Strip, (although not so much Downtown) and the Wynn’s is actually relatively go dvalue for money.
The owner, Steve Wynn can sometimes be found at the bar. Feel free to buy him a drink, and if your luck is in, he might even return the favour!
Of course at onlyvegas247 we offer a best price guarantee – Check rates – Why note experience one of the Las Vegas Strip’s most luxurious hotels.
